Overview

Bore Logger is a field data collection application for geotechnical professionals, provided by Alamo Geotechnical Services LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Information We Collect

Account Information: When you log into Bore Logger, we collect your email address and use it, together with a securely stored password, to verify your identity and confirm your company’s account status through our authentication provider (Firebase, operated by Google).

Company and Account Status: We store which company your account is associated with and whether that company’s subscription/license is active, in order to control access to the application.

Project Data: All project, boring, and sample data you enter into the App — including field measurements, descriptions, and photographs — is stored locally on your device only. This data is not transmitted to, or stored on, any server operated by us or any third party.      

How We Use Information

We use account information solely to:

• Verify your identity when you log in

• Confirm your company’s license/subscription is active

• Enforce that each licensed account is used on one device at a time

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to operating the App.

Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Account information is processed by Firebase (Google) solely as our authentication and database infrastructure provider, under Google’s own privacy and security practices.

Data Security

Account information is protected using industry-standard authentication practices. Project data stored locally on your device is protected by your device’s own security features (passcode, biometric lock, etc.). You are responsible for securing your own device and maintaining backups of locally stored project data.

Data Retention

Account information is retained for as long as your company’s license with us remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward for administrative purposes. You may request deletion of your account information by contacting us at the email below.

Children’s Privacy

Bore Logger is a professional tool intended for use by geotechnical field personnel and is not directed at, or intended for use by, children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
